Shemti's text :
Independent: Shemti has 1 vote (titled). While he is ready and untapped, any
minion successfully performing a (D) action against you takes 1 damage
(after resolving the action).
Shemti is untapped. A minion plays Bum's Rush on Shemti, isn't blocked and
torporizes Shemti during combat.
Does that minion take 1 damage ? On one hand, the action wasn't blocked (so
successful) when Shemti was still ready, on the other hand the "performing"
form of the verb seems to indicate some continuity that would imply the
condition is constantly checked until the effect is applied. really not sure
about that, though, my recollection of english grammar or whatever is real
vague.
thanks for the help

The "takes" supports the latter ruling.
So, no, the action rushing minion doesn't take the Shemti damage if Shemti isn't
ready when the time comes to apply the damage.

Sorry if I'm just being stupid, but Shemti affects D actions against
your minions also? I and my group have been playing that a minion only
take the damage when the D action affects you, the Methusaleh, not
your minions (like bleeding, etc)

If actions target minions you control, then they're directed at you, so
they're (D) actions against you. So Shemti's special kicks in. Same with
Champion (Only usable when a monster controlled by another Methuselah is
taking a (D) action against you ), it would work if the action was bleeding
/ burning a location controlled by the Meth controlling the Imbued with
Champion / a Bum's Rush against any minion controlled by the Meth
controlling the Imbued with Champion etc.

Yes. Any (D) action against something you control is "against you".

Right now it is clear, that Shemti has to be ready after the action's
resolution to damage the acting minion. But does he have to be ready
during the whole action until this moment - when my grand-preys minion
sucessfully rescues my untapped Shemti from torpor, does he get the
damage or not?

I can empathise with this. I really hate being dragged out of bed myself.
"Bugger off, I'm sleeping"
"No, Shemti, it's time to get up.."
"Oh great, now I'm awake...that is IT"
