i was actually meant to be a judge in the Watford tourney [one of many] and two things came up that i didn't really know the answer to. 1. ToGP says you MUST repay one towards your debt at the end of your turn. Can you CHOOSE to repay any larger part, including your entire debt, at any other time, eg during your turn so's to take your pool down to the necessary level for calling a Parity Shift? 2. Fairly sure i am right about this next one but let's check. Vampire A tries to bleed and is blocked. Vampire B does Mask 1K faces. i think vampire A now can't attempt to bleed again, by NRA. Is this right? i ruled that that was the way it worked and it lost the game for the guy against whom i ruled it. Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.

No. You must repay one, and no mechanism is given for repaying more. > 2. Fairly sure i am right about this next one but let's check. > Vampire A tries to bleed and is blocked. No. NRA only prohibits the minion who is acting when the action resolves from attempting the action again. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) VTES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. Well, apologies to Del Bown then, since my incorrect ruling may well have cost him 2VP in the first heat. Sorry, man! [ quoted text not captured ]

In much the same way, these ruling were asked of me at Watford. I think I made the right choice - what do you think... 1) A Charnas the Imp was played on a vampire. The damage he does is said to be done at the untap phase. Can the vampire elect not to untap and take no damage? 2) The card text says the vampire takes a damage, but it is not aggravated. Does this mean the worst it does is torporises the vampire? It mentions "burning". Can Charnas burn the vampire all by himself? Cheers DH [ quoted text not captured ]

The victim will untap in the untap phase [4]. The victim will take one damage every time he untaps, regardless of the phase. Yes (or burns the ally). > It mentions "burning". Can Charnas burn the vampire all by himself? If the vampire is particulary strange (e.g., Julius). -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. [ quoted text not captured ]
