Newbies! Here's a solid deck you can build at home with only two Tremere starters! 1 Mustafa Rahman 2 Blythe Candeleria 1 Pieter van Dorn 2 Aisling Sturbridge 2 Cohn Rose 1 Muaziz, Archon of Ulugh Beg 1 Rebekka, Chantry Elder of Munich 1 Spiridonas 1 Lucas Halton Library - 86 cards Masters 4 Blood Doll 1 Arcanum Chapterhouse, Alexandria 1 Academic Hunting Ground 1 Information Highway 1 Mob Connections 1 Wasserschloss Anif, Austria 1 Protracted Investment Actions 4 Harass 2 Magic of the Smith 2 Sport Bike 2 Revelations Action Modifiers 6 Conditioning Combat 10 Apportation 10 Theft of Vitae 6 Trap 4 Blood Fury 4 Aura Reading 4 Walk of Flame Reaction 8 Forced Awakening 6 Deflection 3 Enhanced Senses 3 Spirit's Touch 2 Precognition This deck will usually bleed or harass its prey. If blocked, trap, apporatation, steal blood, press, walk of flame into torpor. If not blocked, slap the conditioning to bleed for 3. If you are deflected you are not bleeding at stealth and can even "Play nice" by maneuvering to long and waving. You can also harass you predator, play aura reading to find out what kind of nastiness he has in his hand. Your intercept should be enough to stop stealth bleed decks and your Magic of the Smith should help you get to the sport bikes quickly. You can only have one vehicle per minion but the sport bike is not unique so two different minions can "ride". The biggest shortcoming of this deck is the lack of counter against strike: combat ends. Telepathic tracking would be a great addition but is hard to come by. Thoughts betrayed works well but is costly and requires superior dominate (only Lucas and Spiradonis can use it). If you get some dominate skill cards, then you can up Aisling, Cohn or Muaziz to superior dominate and make the TB worth it.

If you're looking for long range blood ire, try Soul Burn. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. And, it's nice to see that, even with a bigger card pool, there are not many (obvious) modifications to make - I can see that using some other wakes rather than all all forced might help, and swapping a master or two would help - e.g. an Arcane Library would be better than Protracted Investment. But mostly, it's as good as it will get, for Tremere with a bit of everything. Other cards I would consider as cute but not essential are Charnas, and a Cryptic Mission or two. Charnas and Cryptics combo well with your + stealth vamps - put an enemy in a hunt loop with +2 stealth actions. And a soul burn or two might be nice - that's a weapon hoser + screws fortitude, if I remember correctly. > > The biggest shortcoming of this deck is the lack of counter against > strike: combat ends. I don't think this is so bad. If your minions are blocking all their important actions, it doesn't matter too much if you don't toast the vampire taking the actions. Just stopping the action is good enough, a lot of the time. And you can cycle anyway - you won't jam up due to their combat ends. If a combat-ends deck is all your bleeds, you can play Conditioning and combat stuff anyway, (if you really need to un-jam). Similarly, when blocking a combat-ends deck, you can cycle trap, aura reading, apportation and a strike, if you are desperately trying to get the next untap / intercept card...

I dunno. Mostly Forced is good for this deck, what with all the intercept available. > master or two would help - e.g. an Arcane Library would be better than > Protracted Investment. In general though, if most of your combat is intercept, it isn't that big a deal As you note. The main thing the deck is missing (although the starters didn't have any anyway) is a few Governs. A couple more pieces of equipment might pair up with the Magic of the Smith nicely. And I'd lose the Arcanum Chapterhouse. Xian

Not according to my recollection. Also, not according to: http://www.darkwindrising.com/vampire/precons/cam_tremere.txt They *would* be nice, though. Xian

However, I would use the governs at superior (you are almost certain to get blocked at inferior) and with only two minions with DOM, it would be difficult to use them effectively. The nice thing about the conditioning is that you can play it when not blocked and if you have Archon Investigation concerns, you can always play them at inferior (bleeding for 3 and not 4). Someone in our play group was packing 5 in his last deck. :-)

He burned 3 minions last time we played. I saw two of my prey's minions burn and then stupidly bled for 4, when I was his predator, after being called a chicken. (I figured, he can't have another, can he?) :-) My resulting Revelation revealed that he had yet ANOTHER is his hand. With the increase in the Archon Investigation out there, I'm definitely going to reconsider decks that bleed for more than three.

(do not forget to empty the raped with heidelburg) :o) In our playground we usualy avoid bleed for 4+ for same kind of reasons and in the end AI was removed from the metagame.
