Major "Major boon" question :)

Hi! In our local playgroup, we can't seem to agree about a certain situation. Here goes: Methuselah A bleeds Methuselah B, who has a "major boon" in play. The target of the major boon is Meth C. Methuselah B decides to burn the major boon to force Meth C to burn the pool for the bleed instead of him. Can Methuselah C play any "reduce a bleed against you by X" type reaction card to reduce the amount of pool burnt this way? I suppose not, because he is not being bled, rather burning pool due to a card effect, but then again IANLSJ. Thank you for your answers.

[ quoted text not captured ] Major Boon is burnable on a "successful" bleed. Therefore, the time has past to play those cards that are normally playable before a bleed is normally determined to be "successful" against a particular Methuselah (such as stealth, intercept, boost, reduction, bounce). Spying Mission burns at a similar time period, I think.

[ quoted text not captured ] Correct. And also, as the original poster surmised, the bleed is never against C, even though C will be burning the pool.
