Google is a search engine. One of the best, imho. They just bought Deja. They plan on improving upon it. I don't know much more.

I even haven't figured out yet how exactely to go to My Deja or to RGT-CJ. Can anyone explain? Jeroen

Can anyone explain? My Deja is gone - the login at Google isn't working. When it does work (eventually), you should just be able to login at http://groups.google.com Google has r.g.t-c.j at search string "group:rec.games.trading-cards.jyhad" They also list other web-based USENET interfaces, none of which (that are free) are as easy to use as Deja. Deja has recently been selling off as much of themselves as they can, and thankfully someone saw the usefulness of the archive and purchased it before it went down in flames (I felt that Deja was going to eventually die). Google's press release claims they plan on putting up a new web interface and allowing posting in the future. Specifically when they did not say unfortunately. Incidentally I had to grab a newsreader since I depended on MyDeja, lemme know if this doesn't post correctly.....;-P ------------------------------------------------- Ethan Burrow - Prince of Austin saa...@yahoo.com http://whitestar.ddg.com/vtes/

Everything came through clear and intelligible. Please change newsreaders at once. ;) -- Derek "...I was just seeing if you'd notice." -- R. Grau

As a backup news-server, you may care to investigate: http://pubnews.netcom.net.uk/ That web page (hosted at the same address as the proper news server) is generally pretty good, from what people tell me. -- James Coupe | PGP Key 0x5D623D5D "Definitely a woman" - www.thespark.com/ Standard disclaimers apply to this post. In article <969dg6$do4$1...@uranium.btinternet.com>, Rob Treasure [ quoted text not captured ] Hello Rob, The Google is nothing but a search engine that does not support posting, at this time, but intend to support it in the future. All this according to the information they provide. My question would be "when is the future?", tomorrow, next week, next month, next year, etc... I have been trying to find a good alternative and seem to have found one at <http://newsone.net> The service is free, though I am unsure as to the posting speed. As for Google, it may be fast but the database it is searching can be up to 36 hours behind the powercurve. Again, information they provide. I really have to hand it to Deja, they certainly need a good kick in the backside for this change over.
