Carpe Noctem. A question: I have out two vampires with DOM and for. My prey has out 1 vamp which is not tapped. I play Haven Uncovered on his vamp. My vamp 1 attacks his vamp (who does not block), prevents his damage, and plays pulled fangs. My vamp 2 plays Graverobbing at superior to bring his vamp into my active region. Can his vamp now take an action to remove the Haven Uncovered??? JYHAD version: This vampire can be attacked by any minion as a (D)action, which would be at +1 stealth. This vampire can burn this card with an action, which also would be at +1 stealth. VTES version: Any minion may enter combat with that vampire as a +1 stealth (D)action. That vampire can burn this card as a +1 stealth (D)action. No direct actions against yourself?? How is it that the vampire can no longer move to a new haven simply because I revealed where he lived and I now control him?????? Thanks. You can not take the action to remove the Haven, since that would require you to direct the (D) action to yourself. Sorry. > How is it that the vampire can no longer move to a new haven simply because > I revealed where he lived and I now control him?????? It's a card game - the same reason you cannot attempt Arson against a builing you own (normally done for insurance purposes in the "real" world). -- L. This is one of the situations where the fact that you can't direct (D) actions at your self falls down but it does tend to fix far more problems than it creates. -- James Coupe (change "nospam" to "obeah" to reply by e-mail) You were my strength when I was weak. You were my voice when I couldn't speak. You were my eyes when I couldn't see. You saw the best there was in me. Lifted me up when I couldn't reach. You gave me faith because you believed. I'm everything I am because you loved me.

I was under the impression that the (D) action was against the Meth who played Haven, not the Meth upon whose minion Haven was played. Am I reading this message incorrectly or is there some clarificaiton which (inexplicably) says otherwise? Kalvin James Coupe wrote in message <5+I93PAW...@obeah.demon.co.uk>... You played the Haven Uncovered so the (D) action to remove the Haven is directed at you. Thus, the vampire who you have taken control of would take a (D) action against you so the action is prohibited under the fact that no (D) actions can be taken against you. -- James Coupe (Prince of England) Change nospam to obeah to reply Vampire: Elder Kindred Network madnessnetwork.hexagon.net
