Greets, If an opponent (either predator or prey) calls a bleed vote, can I use Rats' Warning to wake up and block it? This is an undirected action, but it is also a bleed being declared against you. Cheers, Jason

And now time for "Passenger Pigeon Reads His Newsgroups," Episode <pUW35.338054$p73....@news2.mts.net>, with guest star "Jason Mowat" <jmo...@attglobal.net>: [ quoted text not captured ] The term bleed vote has no real meaning in the game; a bleed is a specific type of action, and a vote is a specific type of action. So no, you can't Rat's Warning a vote, even if it is costing you blood. (Incidentally, you don't have to declare the terms of the vote until the action goes unblocked. At least I think. I remember not being sure about this.) -- William Burke, passenge...@hotmail.com "What? Politics? Thank you, my squeaking minions!" Visit my web page! Marvel! Of course, it's worth noting that usually people in position to block ask "Before I block the action and blow that vampire's head off, am I going to take any collateral damage from this vote?" -- Derek Deafness never kept composers from hearing the music. I am assuming these are bleed actions (just as I was assuming a vote that caused X pool damage was a "bleed vote"). I want to make sure I am clear on these points. And, when a vote causes an opponent or opponents to lose blood, does the minion calling the vote gain her Methuselah the Edge? If this is not considered a bleed action, then the answer would be no, right? Cheers, Jason

They are bleeds because they say bleed. KRC just causes you to lose pool, and so is a vote which causes you to lose pool. Similarly, Anarch Revolt is a master card which causes you to lose pool, and Army of Rats is a minion card which causes players to lose one pool maximum. For something to be a bleed action, it has to say it is. -- James Coupe | PGP Key 0x5D623D5D "I know my ex-boyfriend lies. Oh, he does it every time. I am assuming these are bleed actions Yes. Actions that "bleed" another Methuselah are "bleed actions". > (just as I was > assuming a vote that caused X pool [loss] was a "bleed vote"). Actions that call referendums (votes) are "political actions". Not all pool loss is "bleed". Pool loss can occur in other ways, like some referendums, some reaction cards, contesting, etc. > And, when a vote causes an opponent or opponents to lose [pool], does the > minion calling the vote gain her Methuselah the Edge? No, you only get the Edge when you bleed for one or more pool, not merely when you cause the loss of one or more pool. > If this is not > considered a bleed action, then the answer would be no, right?
