In play tonight, someone equipped The Mummy with a Sengir Dagger, and discussion ensued on whether or not the inherent damage was hand damage. I recall a ruling on the Renegade Garou that said so, but I recall another one on the Outcast Mage that was different. As a general rule, when is Ally damage considered hand damage? @ The Corrupter - Adrian Lee Sullivan @ GAT/CS/WS R+++* r(+)>++ # Gamer Coffee Addict Scripter Author # C(+++)$ USX+$ N++ e+* @#$ Comments ? sull...@cslab.uwlax.edu $#@ tv(+)> X++ b++(+++) @#$ <http://cslab.uwlax.edu/~sulli_al/jyhad> $#@ PS+&_+ PE&-&++ z*+?

As a general rule, > when is Ally damage considered hand damage? Well, the Outcast Mage deals ranged damage (which would mean aufully long arms!) I think a good general rule to go by is : if damage is ranged damage, it is not hand damage. I think that Muddled Vampire Hunter is hand damage as well. As a general rule, >when is Ally damage considered hand damage? Well, the simplest way to tell is to read the ally; in this case, Akhenaten explicitly says that his innate damage is hand damage. The general rule of thumb is that innate damage is hand damage if it's not usable at long range. Outcast Mage's damage is ranged, so not hand. ALL DAMAGES THAT ARE NOT RANGED ARE CONSIDERED TO BE HAND DAMAGE.

Both the mummy cards as well as the new V:tes version of muddled Vampire Hunter explicitly say they are hand damage on the card. Rory

There are melee weapon damage and damages deriving from other sources than strikes. Wolf Companion deals damage but it does not deal hand damage. Bastard Sword adds to hand damage but the damage the wielder deals with Bastard Sword is not hand damage (for purposes such as Claws of the Dead). Then, Sungil Kim
