Let's say my prey has one blood left. I have a vamp with Fame superior Fortitude I use Day Op to bleed. Since it's unblockabel my prey is ousted. Do I gain the blood and then send my vamp to torpor AFTER my new prey is established or BEFOREthe next Meth becomes my prey? The main part is will I do the 3 blood loss to my new prey or the old one that was ousetd?

My take on it is: You go to torpor after the action, so your new Prey loses 3 pool. But I'm no Tom.

However, I feel that someone inside the company should be the NetRep on this group, and at the moment, I am the only person willing to fill that role. Handing it off to someone else will probably require getting netnews installed on a host site here in the office, but we're so understaffed that it's going pretty slowly. (Anyone interested in working for us as a sysadmin should check out Jon Kruger's post in rec.games.trading-cards.magic.misc, which I will crosspost here later today.) I'm sorry that my coverage here hasn't been as complete as it could have been, but it basically boils down to a) the system that I use for sweeping through the newsgroups, b) a rather pitiful expiration deadline on the site I'm having to use for news, and c) the fact that over the last few months, those messages I have seen have mostly fallen under the game theory and balance topics (remember the WwEF discussions?), and that's the sort of thing I generally don't comment on in the Magic groups, even. And you forget to state factor (d): that you /have to/ look at hundreds of Magic posts every day. We know that WotCoa$t cares more about Magic than Jyhad (for obvious $$$ reasons), and you'll get flamed by your bosses if you take time off Magic support to serve Jyhad. :-) It just can't be helped, given the limited time and resources you have. However, my complaints are really directed at the DTR. Everybody makes mistakes, but I would expect them to have a better track record. I make mistakes, but the collective wisdom of this group very rarely coughs up an incorrect answer. The DTR doesn't meet that standard. You take the heat sometimes, as the DTR's proxy, and I commend you for your level-headed responses. Curt Adams (curt...@aol.com)

Handing it off to someone else Please don't take this as a flippant question, I mean it in all seriousness: Why do you feel that someone inside WotC should be the Netrep for this group? Here's my rationale for asking this question: you admit that there are people on the group who are more qualified to answer Jyhad questions than you. You also are unable to read the group and answer questions on a regular basis by your own admission, since Magic comes first (and was indeed the job you were hired for). You did an excellent job as the Magic netrep long before you were hired by WotC. Many people were and are happy with the job you do. Beth Moursund was also an excellent netrep without being hired by the company. Unless I am out of date (which I could be since I haven't re-joined the mailing list), she is still netrep for Jyhad-L. It is proven by experience that one need not be a direct employee of WotC in order to be an excellent netrep. You are the best example of this. So why do you feel that people outside WotC should now be excluded from this duty when by your own admission, those people are better qualified than you for the job? I would appreciate any answer you can give.
