If Mictlantecuhtli plays Masochism on himself and equips with Talbot's Happysaw, is the 3 damage from talbot's considered to supply 3 counters onto Masochism? Possibly a similar question for Ecstatic Agony (& black gloves, etc), Revelation of Wrath, etc ... ie: for these type of cards, when is the applicable damage dealt considered successful? When the strike is made, or when the damage is taken (and healed) by the vampire (or is it card-specific)? Thanks Mictlantecuhtli Gangrel Capacity: 10 Group: 5 Independent: Mictlantecuhtli is immune to damage from weapons. When he commits diablerie, each of your other ready vampires gains 1 blood from the blood bank. +1 strength. Talbot's Chainsaw Equipment Unique weapon. Strike: 3 damage. If bearer is ready during your untap phase, a ready minion you control takes 3 unpreventable damage. Bearer cannot hunt. Bearer may enter combat with a minion controlled by another Methuselah as a +1 stealth (D) action. Bearer gets a press, only usable to continue combat on the first round, and may prevent up to 1 damage each combat. Masochism Action Fortitude +1 stealth action. Put this card on the acting vampire. Whenever damage is successfully inflicted on this vampire, put 1 rush counter on this card for each point of damage. Remove rush counters in excess of the vampire's capacity. Whenever this vampire plays a card, you may remove X rush counters from this card to reduce that card's blood cost by X. As above, but put an additional rush counter on this card at the end of any round of combat in which this vampire takes damage. Ecstatic Agony Action Auspex +1 stealth action. Put this card on this acting vampire. Each round of combat, this vampire gets +X strength, where X is the amount of damage successfully inflicted on this vampire in the previous round of this combat. As above, and once per combat, this vampire may press to continue combat if any damage has been successfully inflicted on him or her in the current round.

No. Damage inflicted on a minion (or retainer) who is immune to that damage is not considered to be successfully inflicted. http://groups.google.com/group/rec.games.trading-cards.jyhad/msg/dd46561b98c56130 http://groups.google.com/group/rec.games.trading-cards.jyhad/msg/bc5d88b87e0bd6cc > Possibly a similar question for Ecstatic Agony (& black gloves, etc), > Revelation of Wrath, etc ... ie: for these type of cards, when is the > applicable damage dealt considered successful?
