Hi, Does Qadir's sect change when he changes his clan? Qadir ul-Ghani Clan: Assamite (group 2) Capacity: 9 Disciplines: CEL OBF QUI nec tha Independent: Qadir may change his clan to a clan of his choosing as a +1 stealth action that costs 1 blood. +1 bleed. (Blood Cursed) What if he was Sabbat just before, thanks to a Into the Fire? Into the Fire Type: Master Master. Trifle. Choose a ready non-Sabbat vampire you control. That vampire becomes Sabbat. (His or her clan is not affected.) And what about the RTR http://groups.google.com/group/rec.games.trading-cards.jyhad/msg/3f413d99b4e1907c ? Thanks

[ quoted text not captured ] No offense Scott, but this makes absolutely NO sense to me. I can see, when making kids (Embrace, Bamba, Becoming, 3rd Trad), that there must be some default mechanism for determining said newly- created vampire's sect. HOWEVER - why does Qadir NOT remain an Independent vampire of whatever clan he chooses? Lots of clans in the game have members that are of different sects, whether that be Cam, Sabbat, Laibon, or Independent. So, Question: purely from a rules perspective, exactly WHAT is it about Qadir ul-Ghani's special text that causes him to cease being an independent vampire? And - on a side note - does using Clan Impersonation also change the acting vampire's sect to the chosen clan's "default". Seriously confused and consternated, -Asif Chaudhry

Because the rules explicitly say otherwise.
