Combat is never arrived at. The action modifier resolves immediately
(always the case, barring card text otherwise), afterwords combat _would_
happen, were the vampire not in torpor (one cannot enter combat with a
vampire in torpor). In case anyone else asks, this does not give the
Kissing vampire the attempt to diablerize (no action to do so, no
explicit card text) or play Amaranth (not in combat).
