a friend of mine asked me to post this. So I did. _----------- Post these two questions to the net for me please... 1. If you have two weapons and get multiple strikes, can you switch weapons to use another on other strikes? 2. When employing a ghoul retainer that uses a weapon to do aggravated damage, which damage can the opponent block if using a dodge or fortitude card? I.e...retainer uses the bow or flame thrower and vampire uses a shotgun; Which damage is the recipient able to dodge or block? ----- I said no and the dodger chooses, am I right? -Joel

Fortitude cards will specify whether >they can be used against one strike (in which case he chooses) or all >strikes this round. Dodge, on the other hand only says it negates >'opponent's strike,' but in practice it's much more of a trump card >than just that (it can negate first strike), so my guess would be that >it's all dodged. But that's more of a rules team question. Actually, they've ruled already. Retainers dotheir damage during the initial strike resolution, but are unaffected by dodges. They can be prevented (with fortitude, Flak Jacket, etc.) normally.

I was under the impression that you could not switch weapons when dealing multiple, but the rules do not indicate that this is the case. from section 15.1 of the revised rules Additional Strikes: If you have a minion use a combat card that gives it an additional strike, you may use more than one strike card in the current round. This is handled by having another choose strike phase and resolve strike phase after the first, in which only the minions with additional strikes may play strike cards. All additional strikes take place at the same range. This is repeated as necessary. Only one card may give an additional strike to a minion for each round of combat. Example: You are blocking Tiberius with Cassandra. Tiberius announces he is using a Vampiric Strength card, which allows him to inflict 2 damage, as his strike. Cassandra uses a Dodge card as her strike, so no damage is dealt by either vampire. Next, Tiberius plays a Blur card, giving him one extra strike. Cassandra plays a Blur also, giving her two extra strikes since she has superior Celerity. Tiberius uses his hands for the second strike. Cassandra uses her hands also. Both suffer one damage and so lose one blood. Cassandra then uses her hands one more time, and Tiberius can't use a strike because he had only one additional action. Tiberius suffers one more damage. -- Jack Vinson vin...@unagi.cis.upenn.edu Philadelphia, PA http://www.cis.upenn.edu/~vinson/home.html Q. "Is a cat's urinary tract health important?" A.
