Question for LSJ regarding merging titles and sects.

Lambach (Sabbat Cardinal) merges and becomes independant, titled vampire with two votes (card text). Into the fire is then played on him making him sabbat. What title does he end up with, and does the controlling player choose if the answer is either? -JTP
