1. Can multiple Torn Signposts be played at the beginning of the same round of combat to increase base strength, or can only 1 be played? 2. Bianca (at least I think she's the one) has a base of 2 hand damage according to the jyhad text. Can torn signpost be played with her to reset her strength to 3 (+1 from the TS and +1 from her)? Thanks, Mark

Well, as Torn Signpost sets your hand damage to 2 (or 3 at superior), you can play as many as you want at the begining of combat, but as each one will just set your hand damage to 2(or 3), it won't really do anything other than let you cycle cards. So yes, you can play as many as you want, but you will still only get the effect (2 or 3 hand damage) once due to the card text. The card you are looking for is Fists of Death with gives you +1 (or +2) hand damage for the entire combat, and as such, is completely stackable. You can play TS for 2 hand damage, and then play, say, 3 Fists of Death (each for +1 hand damage) to get 5 hand damage, and then strike with Undead Strength for a total of 6 hand damage (which would be 11 hand damage if you had superior Potence...) "2. Bianca (at least I think she's the one) has a base of 2 hand damage according to the jyhad text. Can torn signpost be played with her to reset her strength to 3 (+1 from the TS and +1 from her)?" Officially, yes, as now all vampires that used to have 2 hand damage (Bianca, Zack North, etc) now have "+1 hand damage" instead. If this were not the case, and then actually had 2 hand damage (instead of "+1"), then inferior Torn Signpost would have no effect (but superior woudl still give them 3 hand damage). Luckily, this is moot, as these vampires are all errattaed to have "+1 hand damage" now (due to this being the change in the VTES reprint). Each one will set your hand damage to 2/3. Playing 15 Torn Signposts, all at superior, will net you a base hand damage of 3. Playing 60 Torn Signposts, all at superior, will also net you a base hand damage of 3. > 2. Bianca (at least I think she's the one) has a base of 2 hand damage > according to the jyhad text. Therefore, an inferior TS will give her 2 base hand damage, and her text gives her an extra +1, for a total of 3. -Chris

As I've read the rules, you could NOT play 3 Fists of Death or multiples of ANY cards in the same combat or as Action Modifier cards. You could not play three Faceless Nights on a single action, for instance. The Wizard Marex

[ quoted text not captured ] You've read the rules wrong. That rule applies only to action modifiers and reactions. The only other similar limits are a) No Repeat Actions, and b) cards which grant additional strikes (only one additional strike granting effect may be used each round... may be overridden by card text). -Chris

However, combat is not an action, and is in no way restricted by this (certain cards with specific text otherwise excepted). -- /\ Jasper Phillips /VVVVVVVVVVVVVV|~"~"~"~"~"~"----------........____ jaz j^^^^^^^^^^^^^\/"~"~"~"~-----------........._____ ~"~--. * http://www.engr.orst.edu/~philljas/ "~"~'--`

The only restrictions on playing multiple copies of the same card is on action modifiers and combat cards. I can play 15 copies of Increased Strength in a single combat round if I want.
