If it does then we know that all of the damage from a > hand strike (like Scorpion Sting) is aggravated because of the past > rulings on Basilia. UC modifies Iliana's hand damage, just as Ritual Challenge would. Iliana's hand damage is now 1+2agg. She plays Scorpion Sting for her strike, which deals hand damage plus one. The plus one inherets the aspects of the base strike, which is (1+2agg). So... you have to make something up, right? :-). The only ruling for this case that is still acceptable for the case of a Bastard Sword is that UC works like Wolf Claws - that is, it modifies the damage done by the vampire's hand strike (it doesn't change the base hand damage itself). This isn't exactly what the card text says, but it follows logically when you try to figure out what a Bastard Sword strike will do. (*) So, you get 1 (base) +2 agg (UC) +1 (SS) = 2 + 2 agg.
