Control of Master Cards

This came up in a game with a Set deck which was being extremely effective in corrupting, tempting, and otherwise gaining control of other people's vampires. If I take control of another vampire with a master card on it, who controls the master card? In this case, there were Blood Dolls on the controlled vampires. Does the original player control the use of the Blood Doll? A few of the knowledgable players insisted this was so, but no one could point out the specific rule. Thanks in advance, Jeff G.

When a minion changes controllers, only the minion cards on it change controllers as well; the control of its master cards remains the same. Blood Doll is an exception since it allows the vampire's current controller to use the ability, even though the control of Blood Doll itself never changes (card text). Does this mean that the various discipline Master cards (Presence, Thaumaturgy, etc) continue enhance the controlled Vampire, though control of those master cards remain with the original Methuselah? How far reaching is this. If I put a skill card on my vampire, and someone takes control of it, do I retain control of the skill and the extra blood capacity? If I put Fame on one of my vampires and someone across the table takes control of that vampires, is it my prey or his prey that loses pool when he goes into torpor. -- mal...@macatawa.org Peter Lowe +=+=+ Edmonton, AB VtES web page available soon!

Yes. The fact that you still control the discipline card on the stolen vampire doesn't mean you get to turn that card off. Any continuous effects of master cards you control remain in effect whether you want them to or not. [ quoted text not captured ]
