. Heya! It's that time of year again! For the third year in a row, the Northeast Regional Qualifier will be held at TotalCon, in Mansfield, MA. TotalCon itself runs from Thursday, February 19 through Sunday, February 22. V:TES events will be as follows: Friday, February 20 Bloodwork Standard Constructed Tournament 7pm - 1am (using the 7pm-11pm slot) 2 rounds plus finals Saturday, February 21 2004 Northeast Regional Qualifier Standard Constructed Tournament 1pm - 11pm 3 rounds plus finals Sunday, February 22 2004 Winter Storyline Event (format to be announced) 10am - 5pm (again, format to be announced) The top 10 not-yet-qualified players at the Qualifier will qualify to attend all V:EKN Championship Events, including the North American Championship at GenCon in Indianapolis, and the European Championship in Germany. V:EKN Tournament Rules: www.white-wolf.com/vtes/veknRules.html V:EKN Championship website (please update this soon, WW): http://www.white-wolf.com/vtes/Championship.html All I know about the upcoming Storyline is that it will be a league format. That's _all_ I know, and more information will be announced by White Wolf soon. I've just got the slot reserved for whatever event we need for it at the con. :) Information about TotalCon: Website (please oh please let them update the events page): www.totalcon.com TotalCon will be held at: Holiday Inn Mansfield 31 Hampshire Street Mansfield, MA (508) 339-2200 I don't know what the hotel rates are, but make sure you mention that you're there for TotalCon in case there's a discount. :) TotalCon pricing: We've managed to get a $35 weekend pass for TotalCon if you're only going to be playing V:TES events. Note that you _must_ pre-register in order to get the V:TES pass. (It's called the V:TES Pass in the website.) Also note that if you pre-register for the standard $30 weekend ticket (not the V:TES Pass), you'll have to pay event fees on top of that weekend ticket, which will bump the cost to $42.50 or something. At any rate, one-day tickets are $10 if you pre-register, or $12.50 at the door. Remember: You MUST pre-register in order to get the $35 V:TES Pass. That's all I can think of for now. If you have any questions or comments, email me at fu...@mindstorm.com. I look forward to seeing you there! - Ben Peal, Prince of Boston fu...@mindstorm.com

As you've been reading this week on the prince list, we're finalizing the 2004 Championship details right now. We're waiting until after the details are finalized before posting the details to the web. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. As far as I'm concerned, this can't be done soon enough. This is the third year in a row that I'll be running the Northeast Regional Qualifier in February, and it's the third year in a row that White Wolf won't have the new Championship page ready for the start of the new season. By the by, the details for the Northeast Regional Qualifier were finalized and approved by White Wolf a month ago. I waited until now to announce the qualifier because TotalCon wanted to finalize the weekend V:TES Pass and some things for their website first. At any rate, I really don't see how it would have been so difficult for White Wolf to put up at least a temporary 2004 Championship page listing the Qualifiers they did know about and approve so that there could be at least some advertisement on the White Wolf site for these events before they happen. Oh, and the Northeast Regional Qualifier won't be the first one of the season - that'll be the Mid Atlantic Qualifier held in New Jersey on January 24. [ quoted text not captured ]
