Clarification on Rastacourere?

Quick question: I (and other people here) have assumed that Rastacourere drops the target vampire's cap by one (along with reducing stealth and votes). However, the card text is: "(D) Put this card on a titled vampire. The vampire's title is worth 1 less vote during referendums, and he or she gets -1 stealth when attempting political actions. This vampire's capacity is reduced by 1. (A vampire's capacity cannot go below 1.) A vampire may have only one Rastacourere." Notice the text "This vampire's capacity...". Does "this" in the text refer to the acting minion or the target vampire? Could actually be read either way. So what's the official word? I want confirmation before including it as anti-Anson+Golconda tech in decks ;). //Petri

[ quoted text not captured ] "This minion" on a minion card on a minion refers to the minion it is on, unless card text makes it clear that it refers to the minion who played it, typically by juxtaposing it with "the minion with this card"[0]. Cards played by vampires on other vampires that say "Put this card on a vampire ... this vampire <blah>".: Archon Blood Hunt Consignment to Duat Deep Cover Agent Kaymakli Barrier Of Noble Blood [0]As in the case with Melange. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. Ok, thanks. That's what I thought but could not find the meta rule you quote above anywhere -- so I thought it best to check. Makes Rastacourere a very nice little card. Removing votes and stealth from potential voters is always good, and in addition it can hose the Golcondability (hooray for new words :) of an 8-cap. Most useful for vote decks that have few permanent votes on the table, of course, but I can see a case for putting this in quite a few decks. Hmmm, how many "reduce other vampire's capacity" means are there in the game now? Rastacourere (permanent effect) Violet Tremain's special (permanent effect) Mind of a Child (temporary effect) Anyone remember others or is that it? So the max you could drop a vampire's cap is by 3 (with a very strange Violet Tremain + dem combat deck :). //Petri

Violet's reduction is repeatable (once per combat), so there's no limit. You could also repeat Wrath if you pass "<Clan> Justicar" in between to restore the title. [ quoted text not captured ]

The above got me thinking... if I Dual Form a Mind Raped vampire, the copy stays in my control, right? And if that copy goes into torpor, the original vampire is burned? <looks at copy of wallpaper "Mummify" card/> Hmmm... :) //Petri
