Minion attempts an action, is blocked, plays change of target or psychomachia to cancel the action. He has attemtped that action, so he cannot attempt that same action again this turn can he? Or since it was cancelled can he attempt it again? T

No. Change of Target will prohibit him from taking it again (card text). 5-1-02 RTR states = PSYCHOMACHIA is playable when an ally or younger vampire blocks (successfully) - not merely on the attempt. (So the NRA rule, if used, would "kick in" to prevent the vampire from attempting the same type of action again). > Or since it was cancelled can he attempt it again? No. This is like cancelling a check, even though the check is cancelled, you cannot re-use it. The action was being performed, was cancelled, and cannot be repeated. Carpe noctem. I'll try and never let it happen again. Just to make me feel better, Psychomainia was a Change of Target without NRA attached prior to the most recent RTR. Correct?

[ quoted text not captured ] Almost. Psychomachia was a Change of Target without the action resolution (successful block) requirement. That is, you could play it even if the blocking minion didn't have sufficient stealth (useful if your stealthy bleed got bounced - you just invite the new target to try to block and Psycho out of it). And, without action resolution, the NRA doesn't kick in. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. I've never been able to figure it out. So until the first of June when the latest RTR kicks in Psychomainia does not trigger NRA? Or does RTR take instant effect? And, for the record, as I was unaware of the RTR on Psycomainia I beleaved I was playing within the rules the other day Talonz.

[6.2.2.2] Note that you need to match stealt to successfully block. Not to attempt to block (which should be ovbious, since you cannot add stealth unless and until you're attempting to block). It kicks on on the 31st of May, as stated. Psychomachia operates by card text until the errata kicks in, yes. RTR takes effect as indicated explicitly in the RTR. You were. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. Links to V:TES news, rules, cards, utilities, and tournament calendar: http://www.white-wolf.com/vtes/
