Volker, Calebros and small princes... All you do it 1st tradition, Parity Shift, and secure haven on calebros... Once you get the 1st tradition in play... Play smiling jack and bam! While they can't take their turn, you sap their pool from them... If they do take their turn, they get hit for the smiling jack, AND 2 pool... Play a few second traditions just so they can't get the smiling jack... Plays a few secret hordes just to get under your prey, and parity shift away... Just a pure noviety deck, gonna actually try it.. =D Just need to find a few more 1st traditions... If I understand right... if you stack 2 first traditions, to take your turn, you need to pay 4 pool, right? So in a 5 player game, if you had the edge, and take your turn... You gain 1 from the edge, burn 4 for playing your turn, add 1 to the smiling jack... Parity for 5 pool, and then play another 1st tradition... net gain of 0 pool, and your prey loses the same amount you did... Course anything can kill this deck, but be ugly if it worked... =/ A few Dramatic Upheaval would make things toast... Somebody at 5-7 pool? Move to his predator's spot, and do the "Please take your turn taunt" -- Direct access to this group with http://web2news.com http://web2news.com/?rec.games.trading-cards.jyhad

(-4 to take turn, +1 for edge, -1 for Jack, +5 for Parity = +1) -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. >All you do it 1st tradition, Parity Shift, What's stupid about it? One of our sometime players thinks 1st Tradition could be broken. I keep forgetting to examine possible decks, so I'm not sure about the difficulties in such a deck. But, there's nothing weak about the effect.

[ quoted text not captured ] Agreed. It's really not a stupid idea at all and versions have been done before. I know one of the CA or LV players brought a Ventrue 1st Tradition + Parity Shift deck to GenCon for the North American Championships last summer. That was the table where Goudie the Betrayer earned his moniker. Hard to take turns when there are 2 or 3 First Traditions out. The guy nearly won the table till the rest of us made some last minute deal making (and in one particular case, deal BREAKING!). =P Halcyan 2

I think I hold the record of most stupid idea for a deck ever. Brujah combat with Immortal Grapple, Vampiric Speed and Blur. Ok, maybe others have done this mistake once, I just kept doing it over and over and over.... Archibald Zimonyi Malkavian Prince of Gothenburg http://www.vekn.nu
