If you really really want to screw an Imbued deck then you should play Corruptions. Card Text: +1 stealth action. (D) Put a corruption counter on a minion controlled by your prey. If the number of your corruption counters on the minion equals or exceeds the blood capacity of that vampire or the COST OF THAT ALLY, you may burn all of your corrruption counters on that minion to gain control of him or her. Imbued are allies that have no cost. One Corruption counter is enough to steal them. So the following cards straight up wreck the imbued. 1. Contagion Action 2. Corruption Action 3. Form of Corruption Action 4. Reformation Action 5. Revelation of Desire Action Modifier 6. Revelation of Despair Reaction 7. Revelation of Wrath Combat 8. Sense the Sin Action Modifier 9. Venenation Action Modifier 10. Weigh the Heart Action Modifier ...brought to you courtesy of Library Monger. Comments Welcome, Norman S. Brown, Jr XZealot Archon of the Swamp

One Corruption counter is enough > to steal them. > One counter, plus one additional corruption "minion transfer opportunity" for each React with Conviction that the target has on it... From Lasombra's Imbued FAQ: "Q) How does React with Conviction interact with corruption counters? A) The corruption counter (from Corruption or Reformation or Revelation of Despair/Wrath or Contagion) would be placed, as normal. Then, when the option to take control is exercised (and canceled by React with Convition), the effect of burning counters to take control doesn't occur. Not because the counters are a cost, but because the effect that would burn them is canceled. Still, Crruption needs a setite, not serpentis. Maybe I need to reassemble "Who's the Father?.." DZ AW

No settite is really required to pull off the trick :( Sutekh_23

Imbued do have a cost, which is conveniently represented by the number in the green circle on the lower right hand of the card. It is not a cost to recruit, but Corruption effects don't care what kind of cost they're looking for, unlike Kindred Segregation.

XZealot

[ quoted text not captured ] No, you are mistaken. Imbued have no cost. They have a starting life which is also the amount of pool required to influence them into play. If they had a cost then Kindred Segregation would be devastating. Corruption effects do not about their starting life. It only cares about the cost of the ally which in the case of Imbued is zero. One corruption counter is all it takes to steal an imbued, period. Mortals are notoriously easy to corrupt. [ quoted text not captured ]

[ quoted text not captured ] Damn those two stepping, rules dodging imbued :) Sutekh_23

[ quoted text not captured ] Unfortunately CK is right, here's the ruling from LSJ: Screaming Vermillian wrote: > What is an Imbused's cost to recruit? Nothing AFAIK. Their cost to > bring them into play via their uncontrolled region != recruit cost. Correct. Imbued are not recruited. Kindred Segregation won't touch imbued and Orgy of Blood would get X=0. While corruption counter effects, Consume the Dead, and Khobar Towers work with the ally's "cost" (not "cost to recruit") and will therefore read the cost correctly. Sutekh_23

[ quoted text not captured ] ...or maybe "cost" and "cost to recruit" are completely different terms now. If so, then it is official. I think they should be gotten rid of because this isn't a game but some sort of insane legal arguement. I deal with international accounting that is less complicated. [ quoted text not captured ]

Of course they're different things. Vampires have a cost. They do not have a cost to recruit. An Assault Rifle has a cost. It does not have a cost to recruit. Living Manse has a cost. It does not have a cost to recruit. These don't have a cost to recruit because... *drum-roll*... they're not recruited via a recruit action. Shambling Hordes has a cost. This is also the cost to recruit, because it's the cost paid for a recruit action. -- James Coupe PGP Key: 0x5D623D5D YOU ARE IN ERROR. Uhmmmm, nope. Directly from the WW site, NoR expansion page: ( http://www.white-wolf.com/vtes/index.php?line=Checklist_NightsOfReckoning ) " 1. Imbued Imbued are new crypt cards. An imbued is considered a mortal ally, not a vampire. Imbued have 1 strength and 1 bleed, by default. ***Their cost is also their starting life, and it is specified on each card individually (like capacity).*** (emphasis mine) " It's 100% clear, no ruling required. Teeka p.s. maybe we should change "cost to recruit" from Kindred Segragation to just "cost". Pay up, fool!

I meant that, with the actions other than corruption, the target Imbued can cancel the action with RWC outright, since its a D action requiring Serpentis. Thats what I get for posting late... DZ AW

I think that 3. Form of Corruption Action 4. Reformation Action works only on vampire.
