When you use Taste of vitae, do you also gain blood that your opponent spent for combat cards? Common Sense says no, but then again this is a card game. Can you use Govern the Unaligned to bleed someone other than your prey? I always thought so, but a friend of mine claims to have found errata saying you can't (which I can't find). If I use Form of Mist at superior to get out of combat, and continue on with my action, can my opponent play Fast Reaction or not? Form of Mist says you continue "as if unblocked", while Fast Reaction is only used after you've blocked... -- /\ Jasper Phillips /VVVVVVVVVVVVVV|~"~"~"~"~"~"----------........____ jaz j^^^^^^^^^^^^^\/"~"~"~"~-----------........._____ ~"~--. * http://www.engr.orst.edu/~philljas/ "~"~'--`

Taste of Vitae - combat * Only counts blood that the opposing vampire burned as a result of damage. It will not, for example, give blood for blood spent playing combat cards or stolen blood. Errata has been issued to allow it (not allowing it would not require errata, but rather the absence of errata): * The (D) symbol allows the action to be directed at any target. [RTR] > If I use Form of Mist at superior to get out of combat, and continue > on with my action, can my opponent play Fast Reaction or not? > Form of Mist says you continue "as if unblocked", while Fast Reaction > is only used after you've blocked... Fast Reaction is "only usable after a blocking minion ... has just completed combat", so is completely legal after Form of Mist ends such a combat. -- L. From the database: Form of Mist - Combat (pt) * Any effect that starts a new combat after the combat that was ended by superior Form of Mist will nullify the "continue action" effect. This includes Psyche (superior), Fast Reaction, and Hidden Lurker. [LSJ 980109] [ quoted text not captured ]
