Hello there, I have a couple of questions. First, how do you play brujah debate when you control two vamps, one 6 cap. and one 5 cap. The 6 cap. is already tapped and has sensory deprivation on it when I play the brujah debate. Can I still choose the 6 cap. vamp for the debate? Does any of this change when the highest cap. vamp is in torpor? Can Kostantin steal the shackles of enkidu of a 'shackled' vampire? Finally, if one of my vamps blocks another vamp and engages in combat, my vamp uses disguised weapon to play a white phospherous grenade and after that I play a rotschreck. Is the grenade burned? Thanks a lot, jw.

It doesn't matter if he's already tapped and/or in torpor. > Can Kostantin steal the shackles of enkidu of a 'shackled' vampire? Yes. And then he will be the "shackled" vampire. Is the grenade burned? No. The grenade is not burned until strike resolution, which doesn't occur after Rotschreck is played in your example. -- LSJ (vte...@wizards.com) VTES Net.Rep for Wizards of the Coast. Does any of this >change when the highest cap. vamp is in torpor? Card text, Brujah Debate "Master. Put this card in play. Each Methuselah with a ready Brujah must tap the highest capacity Brujah he or she controls during his or her master phase. Each Brujah gets +1 hand damage and an optional maneuver each combat. This card may be burned by any minion who is not Ventrue as a (D) action." The highest capacity Brujah you control is the poor Sense-Depped bastard. So, during your master phase, you tap him. Tapping a tapped vampire means he stays tapped. Card text doesn't specify to tap an "untapped" Brujah, or a "ready" Brujah, so no matter where that 6-cap goes, you do not get the option - you MUST choose him to tap as long as he's yours. -- Derek (replying by email? remove the nospam from my domain :)

On a similar note, a Dragon's Breath Rounds burns the gun (let's say a .44 magnum) after the card is used and does not wait for damage resolution step or the pre-damage resolution play of Rotschreck. So with or without Rotschreck, as soon as you play the DBR, then gun is burned. Is that correct? Thanks, Stu [ quoted text not captured ]

Is that correct? No. DBR doesn't burn the gun until the strike resolves (otherwise, the strike wouldn't resolve - similar to "dstroy weapon with first strike"). -- LSJ (vte...@wizards.com) VTES Net.Rep for Wizards of the Coast.
