The recent discussion of unsportsmanlike conduct with repect to playing an Archon Investigation then discovering that the bleed was for three instead of four started me thinking. Assuming a vampire is coming in and bleeding for 4 pool. The victim plays AI to burn the vampire. Can a third methuselah play Folderol to reduce the bleed by one? What would happen in this case. What about a third methuselah playing Major Boon to take the bleed? Does the vamp burn? Is this legal? I guess it boils down to "is AI interuptable?" I would think yes as a sudden reversal can interupt it (as well as others) so why not Folderol and Major Boon.. Answers and Opinions welcome, -John

Well, the old answer would be no. Archon Investigation takes place immediately when it is played and there is no timeframe for "fast effects" such as Major Boon or Folderol. In addition, you have to take into account who has the opportunity to play such cards first. The acting minion has the first chance (but clearly can't play Folderol or Major Boon). The Methusaleh being bled then has the opportunity to play effects before other non-involved Methusalehs may play cards. But as I said before, with the whole ruling on Rotschreck being interrupted by Psyche!, things might be a lot more confusing now... Halcyan 2

[ quoted text not captured ] Sudden Reversal 'interrupts' by its own effect (i.e. it's only playable in response to AI, so it *is* playable in response to AI). The others would have to wait until the AI resolved, at which point there is no bleed.
