There are a number of cards that affect "a minion as a
(D) action" without stating that it's the minion of another
Methuselah. Can such cards be played on one of your
own minions as a non-directed action?

Now, yes, due to the change in definition of a (D) action in, I think,
the 7/7 or 23/6 batch of rulings.

Yes, with the exception that you cannot enter combat with a
minion you control.
