Minion A (acting) plays Disarm on minion B. The question is; Is there a window of opportunity to burn 3 blood for Disarm, before A play's Amaranth?

IANLSJ, but I don't see why not. The problem is, that doesn't help you avoid the Amaranth. Minion B no longer "has" the card, so is no longer at -1/-2 strength, but that doesn't cancel the "go to torpor" effect. Take a look at the text: Disarm Combat pot Only usable at the end of a round of combat in which this vampire successfully inflicted more damage at close range than the opposing vampire; not usable by a vampire going into torpor. Put this card on the opposing vampire and send that vampire into torpor. The vampire with this card has -1 strength; he or she may burn this card by burning 3 blood. A vampire can only have 1 Disarm. POT As above, but the vampire with this card has -2 strength. Note that there are two things happening: 1) Put this card on the opposing vampire 2) Send that vampire to torpor Getting rid of 1) does not get rid of 2). Minion B is still going to torpor, with or without the Disarm, allowing Amaranth to be played. It's a nice thought, but doesn't quite work as one might like it to. Eric Simon Prince of Chicago

I am guessing you want to do this to cut down on the blood the minon a gets? "Oko" <o...@vedatassuus.com> wrote in message news:<c1ldtl$l7s$1...@phys-news1.kolumbus.fi>... [ quoted text not captured ]

[ quoted text not captured ] No. A gets first chance to play the next effect, per 1.6.1.6. If B was acting, then yes. As already noted, the result would only be a decrease in the amount of blood to be gained inthe diablerie - the vampire would still be on his way to torpor, an elligible target for Amaranth. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. Take a look at the text: > Yes, but that way minion A will gain three less blood. What I am sure is that you can not burn the disarm if the amaranth is already played, but if you think that your opponent is going to play amaranth, you can brun it before he has the opportunity to do so.

Thanks for clearing this up. And yes, giving 3 less blood for the diablerist was the main point. "LSJ" <vte...@white-wolf.com> kirjoitti viestissä news:403EA449...@white-wolf.com... [ quoted text not captured ]
