I was just wondering what was the reason for WW to print these magazine only promos - do they get paid a large sum of money by the magazines to make them exclusive? Couldnt they at least have the promos in a magazine that makes some reference to VTES (even if its only in that issue) It seems to promote the magazine without really promoting the game. any ideas ? Im still pissed i cant get an Angelo - I really love Ken Meyer Jrs work :( Piers

Agreed. It totally sucks balls when there are differing avenues for trying to collect cards. Surely these vampires are included in the pre-release event. If not, then I am going to fing scream!

[ quoted text not captured ] I'm not sure about Angelo, but Genina is a part of tournament pack already - I got one on the recent Czech NC.

Nevermind; Genina, The Red Poet Scrye #89. November 2005. In stores now. Angelo Game Trade Magazine #69. November 2005. Available late October

Well, the Angelo in Game Trade does seem to be working from a promotional point of view. To get my Angelos, I had to go into several game stores and ask for a copy of Game Trade magazine or for the Angelo out of their store copy. So it's raising retailer awareness that the game exists and that there's a market for it. It also makes them appreciate Game Trade, which has gotten people into their stores. And so Game Trade comes to appreciate VtES more, since it's boosting retailers' opinion of Game Trade, which means they might devote more real estate to VtES, which in turn raises retailer and consumer awareness. A pretty successful marketing move, I'd guess, especially if the sole cost is giving Game Trade the stock and a temporary exclusive on the card.

Angelo is a Group 3 Blood Brother who mixes in with any Blood Brothers circle. Game Trade Magazine seems to be offered free in various game stores. I've already seen issue #69 in a couple stores so it seems like it's on the shelf. (LSJ, we could use a ruling on what its issue date is.) Fred

So could I. As soon as I hear what the street date is, I'll put it up on the promo page. -- That is my story, be it bitter or be it sweet. Keep a little and let a little come back to me.
