Provision of the Silsila (LSJ?)

Hi, just saw the new previews... can you pay provision of the silsila if you burned the contracted minion? by the time you burn them they're in an ash heap and the contract is in your ash heap, so you no longer fit the exact requirements. yet it seems like it's supposed to be usable, otherwise it would have just said "torpor" instead of "no longer ready". hmmmm..... salem.
