The combat symbol has to be on the card so that it may be used for that purpose. Nil carborundum illigitimi, James R. McClure Jr. The OS/2 Apostle <insert disclaimer here>

Peace Ricardo, More often than you think, if you build your deck to exploit that combination. My Gangrel deck does and it happens once or twice every game. [ quoted text not captured ]

Isn't this the card that's both a combat card and an action modifier? I don't have most of my cards with me and I never played with it, so I can't check. Chad Lubrecht lubr...@udel.edu

The usual way to get blood out of it in combat is to hit a vampire with less aggravated damage than it has blood, use Amaranth to diablerize the vampire that would otherwise be going into torpor, and take advantage of that to play the Ritual. Yes, playing the Ritual if the vampire has no blood is pretty pointless, except to get it out of your hand. I have seen amaranth and ritual of the bitter rose used successfully simultaneously my my Methuselah friend Groff Bittner. It was a godlike play !! He lost anyway. Chick...@msn.com

While the effect, if used properly, could be decent, but it does seem pretty useless. Why would WotC make a card that is only useful with another card? Oh well, now I can reduce my 300 card deck to 299, tee hee hee. Methuselah OGRE Clan Gangrel "Badger, press to continue, press to continue, press to continue"
