Came up in an online game: What exactly happens when you have two of your own vampires contesting the same title, and your untap phase begins, and you want one vampire to cease contesting the title. Does the other have to pay a blood? Can you order the checking against both vamps? When does the title become active again? That turn or next? -John Flournoy

('sure! 3x Crusade: Mexico City would be perfect!') >Does the other have to pay a blood? yup >Can you order the checking against both vamps? sure, but it won't help. if one yields, when you get to the second vamp, his title is in the state 'contested' leading up to the checking. so he either pays a blood to contest, or yields. >When does the title become active again? That turn or next? next, by rulebook text 'your vampire aquires the title during your next untap phase, ending the contest' (from 4.2) so the contestion isn't over until the next untap phase from when your vampire is the only one with that title. salem domain:canberra http://www.geocities.com/salem_christ.geo/vtes.htm

('sure! 3x Crusade: Mexico City would be perfect!') It's a very goofy deck idea. Maxwell and Horatio Ballard contesting Chicago each turn. One relents, then calls a vote to become Prince again, bewitching/awe and votercapping. Vote Bloat without any actual vote cards. Worked decently well in practice as a bloat mechanic. -John Flournoy

salem expounded: [ quoted text not captured ] Looks like they can *both* relent and call the vote to become Prince again! That's got to be better than only one of them. Very cool but is it really worth it?
