That is can I pick X to be negative? That is, can I play hidden strength, burn -1 blood, to prevent zero damage (with an optional press in the superior?). Thanks. It came up in our local playgroup a while back, and I can't seem to find an answer. My only thoughts on not being allowed would be burning -1 blood. ~SV

[ quoted text not captured ] In addition, if a card states, for example, 'Burn X blood to gain X stealth', could I play the card, burn no blood and simply cycle the card from my hand that way ? -- http://www.sentientbeings.com: corporate http://vtes.sentientbeings.com - V:TES Collection and Deck builder http://www.finalfantasygoodies.nl - Final Fantasy Collectibles.

Ok, here the thing... Lightning Reflexes Cardtype: Combat Cost: 1 blood Discipline: Celerity [cel] Additional strike. [CEL] This vampire may burn X blood to gain X additional strikes. From the text, it seems you'll have to burn 5 blood to get only 4 additional strikes? Or would you get 5 additional strikes?

Or would you get 5 additional strikes? You burn and pay X+1 blood to gain X additional strikes. In your example 5 blood is removed from the vampire playing the card to gain 4 additional strikes. Nine rounds in ten, Blur is a better choice. Carpe noctem. Lasombra http://www.TheLasombra.com

A vampire may only gain additional strikes from one single source each round. -- Comments Welcome, Norman S. Brown, Jr. XZealot Archon of the Swamp
