What happens if I have an Imbued in my ash heap and I play the outferior Resurrection on him? Is it placed in my hand? Can I recruit him with my minions? Resurrection Type: Action Requires: Obeah/Valeren Cost: 1 blood +1 stealth action. Only usable if a retainer or ally has been burned from play since your last turn. [val] Move the retainer or ally card from your ash heap to your hand. [obe] Move the retainer card from its Methuselah's ash heap to this acting vampire, with life from the blood bank equal to its starting life. Use the normal version, if it requires a Discipline. [OBE] As [obe] above, but move the ally card instead. Put it in your ready region, untapped. -- Cheers, veyDer

You get a warning from the judge for cheating. Imbued are Crypt Cards in the ash heap, not Ally Cards. Ally cards have the ally symbol on them. Imbued lack that symbol. Resurrection cannot interact with Imbued. > Is it placed in my hand? No. > Can I recruit him with my minions? Ally cards > have the ally symbol on them. Imbued lack that symbol. Resurrection > cannot interact with Imbued. Incorrect. Per this post by LSJ: http://groups.google.com/group/rec.games.trading-cards.jyhad/msg/501137ce5ef4ed8a?hl=en& "Imbued are allies. Imbued cards are ally cards." Resurrection is not prohibited from interacting with Imbued for this reason. However: > > Is it placed in my hand? > > No. This is correct, but for a different reason than Jeff gave - you cannot place crypt cards in your hand, ever. > > Can I recruit him with my minions? > > No. Also correct, because Imbued are never recruited. So Resurrection cannot be played at the [val] outferior, because it would illegally place a crypt card into your hand. It can, however, be played at [OBE], since it places the ally card (imbued) from your ash heap to the ready region (legally). (As an aside, you can also use Compel the Spirit for the similar effect, see the previously cited post from LSJ). -John Flournoy

You can't move him to your hand. Even though he is an ally, crypt cards cannot be placed into your hand (nor into your library). The only things that can hold both crypt and library cards are the controlled and uncontrolled regions (and the "out of play" region, if you want to get nuts about it). [ quoted text not captured ]
