to aid clarification:
when the burn option was introduced, it was described in the rulebook
as applying to Clan symbols.
In BH, some Seraph cards have burn options.
By the old rule, because Seraph isn't a clan, you'd have the burn
option but not a clan to go with it, so it would implode, taking the
universe with it.
By the new rewording of the rule, the burn option symbol can be
applied to any requirement of a card, not just a clan. for exaple:
Seraphs.
It DOES NOT mean that any card you don't meet the requirements of, you
can exercise the burn option. only cards with such an icon can
exercise the option.
also, the burn option rule has always been in any methuselah's untap
phase.
