I have a few questions on using Clan Impersonation with non-camarilla and titled vampires. 1) Suppose my Brujah Antitribu uses Clan Impersonation to become a Brujah. Can this new Brujah become Prince of a city OR is he classified as a "Sabbat Brujah" instead of a "Sabbat Brujah Antitribu"? Also, what if the Brujah Antitribu was an Arch-Bishop? 2) Can this same Brujah vote in a Brujah Justicar vote OR does he gain an extra vote for the duration of the vote but is not allowed to use it as he is Sabbat? 3) Let's say my Giovanni has a Writ of Acceptance and becomes Prince of Rome. What happens to the title when I use Heidelberg Castle to move Writ of Acceptance to another vampire? As a side-note, I think my house rule will be that Clan Impersonation will make the acting vampire a member of the respective sect. But I'm curious about the "official" ruling. Thanx, Gord

Therefore, the vampire can become a Prince, since he is a Camarilla vampire. >Antitribu was an Arch-Bishop? The Giovanni remains the Prince of Rome, but loses his Camarilla status. He can still use those Prince votes, but can't call Archon or Camarilla Exemplary votes, for example. >As a side-note, I think my house rule will be that Clan Impersonation will >make the acting vampire a member of the respective sect. If, however, he had already been a cardinal he would not lose his title becuse he became a camarilla. If he becomes a prince he would lose his previous title of cardinal > 2) Can this same Brujah vote in a Brujah Justicar vote OR does he gain an > extra vote for the duration of the vote but is not allowed to use it as he is > Sabbat? > The Brujah gets to vote as a Brujah and Brujahs get an extra vote for the Brujah Justicar vote. > 3) Let's say my Giovanni has a Writ of Acceptance and becomes Prince of Rome. > What happens to the title when I use Heidelberg Castle to move Writ of > Acceptance to another vampire? > He keeps the title. Once a title is on the vampire it does not matter what happens to his acceptance or clan affiliation. > As a side-note, I think my house rule will be that Clan Impersonation will > make the acting vampire a member of the respective sect. Justicars are clan specific, unlike the other titles. But Antitribus do not have Justicars. Would he be the Brujah Justicar, the Brujah Antitribu Justicar, or stuck with a justicar title that gives no vote? I would think he would remain the Brujah Justicar but I thought I saw a post from LSJ that said that if a Justicar changed clans his Justicar title would transfer to the new clan too.

He would remain the Brujah Justicar. I answered a similar question recently, but not the way you remeber it. Justicar titles do not transfer if the vampire changes clans. The vamp remains a Justicar of his former clan. [ quoted text not captured ]

So our house rule is that a Camarilla vampire cannot hold Sabbat titles and vice-versa. When a Prince becomes Sabbat (ie after a Derange), he loses his title. Period. At least, it's clear and everybody understands that it can be *very* embarassing to change sect! Gilles
