So I am playing Ravnos, and some vampire is attempting to block an action (such as Army of Rats). I play Kiss of Ra at superior, which says "... and the action is now blocked." What happens when I play Red Herring at inferior, which says "Only usable when this acting vampire is blocked. Untap the acting vampire, do not tap the blocking minion, and cancel the current action and combat. Take the card played to perform the action (if any) back into your hand." Am I correct in assuming that this play is legal, the blocking minion is sent into torpor (tapped if Red Herring is at superior), the Army of Rats I played goes back into my hand, my acting minion is sent into torpor untapped and can perform say Rapid Healing to get out of torpor? Kiss of Ra has blocked the action; Red Herring wants a blocking minion. -- James Coupe Everybody knows that "No" means "Yes" PGP Key: 0x5D623D5D Just like glasses come free on the NHS EBD690ECD7A1FB457CA2 But the more I look through them the more I see 13D7E668C3695D623D5D I'm becoming more like Alfie

Obviously, there is a "blocking minion" (per card text on Kiss of Ra), so that isn't the issue. Are you saying that because the card text on Red Herring refers to a "blocking minion" that it is therefore illegal to play because Kiss of Ra blocked the action? I would have otherwise assumed that you either simply ignore the "do not tap the blocking minion" part of RH or apply it to the minion on which KoR had been played. Fred

Obviously, there is a "blocking minion" (per > card text on Kiss of Ra), so that isn't the issue. Are you saying that because There is no blocking minion after Kiss of Ra, since the action is blocked by Kiss of Ra (prior to the would-be blocker's block attempt being successful). > the card text on Red Herring refers to a "blocking minion" that it is therefore > illegal to play because Kiss of Ra blocked the action?
