Hi again, here's my other question of the day. Is it allowable for a minion with a weapon with a maneuver attached (44 Mag, Zip Gun, etc) to use that maneuver even if they are not getting a strike that round? For example, if they are in the first round of a Fast Reaction or Hidden Lurker combat, can they use a gun to go to long? Since normally using a maneuver on a weapon forces you to use that weapon for your strike, I'm not sure on this. Thanks again, Josh

In article <58280l$c...@newsstand.cit.cornell.edu>, [ quoted text not captured ] They cannot use the maneuver if they don't get a strike - since using the maneuver means that they have chosen a strike (which they are not permitted to do). -------------------==== Posted via Deja News ====----------------------- http://www.dejanews.com/ Search, Read, Post to Usenet

As you must use the gun for your strike if you use the manuver, and you have no strike, then you may not even attempt to use the gun. Of course, I'm not LSJ, so I could be wrong. Alec Chang

You cant use "Manouver and strike" if you cant strike.

(both currently have inf. potence). No pre ranged effects. Ignacio (acting minion) declines to maneuver. Duck maneuvers to long range via thrown gate. Ignacio maneuvers back to close, also via a thrown gate. No more maneuvers. Before strike declaration phase (which I assume still takes place, even though we all know which strikes will be chosen), Ignacio plays an Immortal Grapple. Q: a) Can he do this? Or are the strikes considered chosen during the set range phase? b) What happens? Only hand strikes may be made against or by the vampire using IG, but both vamps have to "toss them gates"! Just another one of those wacky scenarios that cause us to love this game SO much! Thanks in advance!!!
