I got my AH cards recently, and it seems to me that Nakova may be misprinted,
since she seems to be too weak:
Nakova, Advocate of Golconda
Ventrue Primogen
FOR, pot
Capacity 6
If Nakova is burned in combat, the opposing minion takes 4 damage
(damage not preventable).
A total of 3 discipline levels for a 6 capacity Primogen with a not
particularly wonderful special ability seems awfully low. For comparison,
other 6 capacity primogens/princes:
Anvil -- CEL, dom, POT, pre, tha, (7 levels) no special ability
Rake -- aus, cel, pot, PRE, (5 levels) +1 hand damage when in combat with
a Ventrue
perhaps they were looking at Volker, the Puppet Prince, when they made
Nakova:
Volker, The Puppet Prince Brujah Prince
Capacity: 5 Disciplines: CEL, pot
Prince of Frankfurt.
Volker cannot attempt to block Primogen.
But being a prince is _considerably_ better than being a primogen, due to
the cards restricted to prince/justicars.
So, is Nakova a misprint?

Well, Anvil is a bad vamp to look at, as he is clearly too good for his
cost, but generaly, a vamp costs 1 point per skill level (Superior costs
2), 1 point for any title (Primogen, Prince, Justicar), 2 points for +1
Bleed or +1 Hand Damage, and 1 point for most other special abilities.
Vamps 4 points and under usually lose a point and vamps 8 and up usually
gain a point (a 4 cost vamp gets 3 points of abilities and a 9 cost vamp
gets 10 points of abilities). Anvil has CEL, POT, pre, dom, tha for 7
points and is a Primogen for 8 total points of abilities for a 6 cost.
Anvil is too good, but we already knew that. Rake is almost one point too
good (Prince and 5 points of abilities, plus the hand damage advantage),
but his special is kind of limited.
As for Nakova, most of the new (DS and AH) vamps tend to not stick to this
formula that most (I think all but Anvil) of the basic set vamps stick to,
so Nakova is probably just a little low. She has 3 points of abilities,
is a Primogen, and has a moderately useful special, so she should be a 5
point vamp, but there are no 5 point Primogens, so they made her 6. She
probably should have another basic discipline, but maybe she costs the
extra point because she looks so cool :-)

I don't think she is a misprint, because in this new set there
are vampires that are worse off than she is... Wouldn't you hate to be..
Judah--POT, dom, ani (5 levels) no special-- Primogen
Sure, he doesn't seem bad, but he's a Nosferatu(W/ OUT OBFUSCATE!!), and
compared to other vampires such as Rake and Anvil..
We also need to take into account that the Brujah(Tremere, Toreador, and Malkavians) are all
unbalenced clans(power wise). Usally when these clans have a special
ability it is too powerful....Example:
Muaziz, Archon of Ulugh Beg-Tremere- Capacity 7-THA,dom,aus,for
(5 levels) 2 specials /* This is where this vampire is too powerful */
A bloodhunt cannot be called angainst Muaziz. Muaziz gets +1 stealth on
all of her actions.
HELLO??!!! Is anyone at WoTC still alive??!!? That card is too
powerful compared to any other 7 capacity vampire...
Such as :
Murat-Nosferatu-OBF, POT,ser(serpentis..)-Prince of Istanbul.
Followers of Set burn an additional blood when playing cards that require
serpentis, while in combat w/ Murat.
Gee...great...Does WoTC, think they can throw the Nosferatu a
stupid Prince, and the Venture a 6 Primogen and we'll forget about the
really neat abilities, every other vampire has???? NO!!!!
: So, is Nakova a misprint?
Probly, not :(......Cheer up though...as you can see, there are
vampires in a worse position than she is...Just ask any Nosferatu...Like
Selma..Who has +1 intercept when blocking Nosferatu...Yeah that helps...
Sorry, about that, I needed to "vent", maybe now you can play
Nakova with a smile...:)

I seriously doubt she's a misprint considering she's quite combat ready,
and if someone kills her, she'll drag them screaming to hell with her...

Muaziz and Murat have the same number of points in abilities. Murat is
a Prince; Muaziz has no title at all. Being immune to bloodhunts is hardly
a powerful ability, certainly not on the level of +1 stealth. Muaziz's
abilitys combined are roughly equivalent to princedom; certainly not far
and away better, as you claim them to be.

Ranjan Rishi is the perfect vampire, 5 in clan disciplines for 5 cost plus as
a total bonus he has a special power.
Nakova has 2 in clan disciplines and 1 vote making her a great vampire for 3,
a good vampire for 4, a poor vampire for 5 and an awful vampire for 6. Her
power is that she won't be burned in combat. Look out, that happens every
day, NOT!
This reminds of Legends in MtG. Jedit Ojanen was a great card for 4, okay for
5, clearly inferior at 6 and guess what the cost was 7, and required 2 colors
of mana and only one could be in play. Then the Wood Elemental, a 0/0
creature with a cost of 4, imagine a catiff with capacity 4 with no
disciplines and no powers, a misprint? Nope, the real thing.

I'm sorry but I disagree.
+1 stealth to a clan with stealth is not much of an ability and it was
felt needed to cripple Lucretia with a poor mix of disciplines to
balance her out.
Now we have 2 Tremere with +1 stealth on all thier actions. I
consider that +1 stealth for them to be equivalant to a Justicar in
special value. that +1 stealth is easily intercepted by an intercept
deck but other types need to treat these two vampires as special
compared to other Tremere whereas if it was a clan with stealth it
would be just additive.
I agree that the immunity to blood hunts is a minor to normal special
and not awesome. Nevertheless it does has its uses in burning
Vampires, especially since its at +1 stealth.

Well, but some special abilities, most notably +1 hand damage and +1 bleed are
worth 2 points. To see this, look at Bianca, Ozmo or Zack North. It seems to
me that +1 stealth on _all_ actions is better than either of these and should
be worth at least 2 points.
Also, clan-specific special abilities are usually worth no points.
