These are questions for Tom Wylie, or any one that has seen a ruling on them. 1. The Temptation cards says, "Each master phase,.......... put a temptation counter on this card." Is this each methuselah's master phase, or each acting player's phase? 2. The Talaq, The Immortal cards says, ".....may play cards that require.......thaumaturgy, as a vampire." If Burst of Sunlight is played by Talaq, doing "......1R, aggravated to all vampires in combat"; does Talaq go to torpor since he is acting as a vampire? Thanks, Dick

("Each Master Phase of the acting Player" is correct if it means the above) >2. No ruling has been given on this - so it means that Talaq takes no damage from the Burst, since he is not "playing ... a vampire" by the time the strike's effect resolves. A close second (but not correct, IMHO) is that he does indeed take the 1 agg damage since he is treated "as a vampire" when the strike is chosen, and targets are determined at that point. He would not go to torpor, however - he would just burn one life. I believe the first is correct because, since he is no longer a valid target when the effect resolves (a la Steal Equipment), the strike has no effect on him. -- L. hello, everybody umm, ok. i'm really not sure what temptation should say. since there doesn't seem to be a problem with reality, i'd like it to be every master phase, yours and every other, since i like setites. if there is some reason why it shouldn't be, then please do errata it to be only in owner's master phase. as for talaq, it says "may play cards . . . as if a vampire", not "receives damage in combat as if a vampire". besides, the rules say that allies don't go to torpor, that if a vampire would in that situation, he or she is burned. so that wouldn't send him to torpor, and neither would rutor's hand. oh *crap*. i can already see the deck forming . . . nooooooooooooo ok, bye now jacob

NO TALAQ DOES NOT GO INTO TORPOR BECAUSE HE IS NOT A VAMPIRE, AND THEREBY CANNOT USE THIS CARD...

In article <53c7f2$b...@newsbf02.news.aol.com>, bluer...@aol.com says... > >NO TALAQ DOES NOT GO INTO TORPOR BECAUSE HE IS NOT A VAMPIRE, AND THEREBY >CANNOT USE THIS CARD... I believe you're mistaken; Talaq can use the card!
