Does the B anti with the Sword get the +1 hand and an optional additional
strike or must the B anti strike with the Sword to get the "bonuses"? I
assume if someone played Drawing out the Beast the B anti does not get the
bonuses.
Also how is Lightening Reflexes played? Does one burn the blood immediately
for the additional strikes when the card is played, or is it like Awe? Can
one play LR with 2 blood on him, burn the 2 blood for one additional strike,
inflict some damage, Taste of vitae for more blood after the strike
resolution phase and then burn more blood for more additional strikes?

Most melee weapons with "Vampire" backs utilize a poor template.
Effective card text: "Strike: hand damage +1. The BruAnti with this
equipment gets an optional additional strike each round of combat."
[LSJ 970821].
That is: you only get the damage bonus when striking with the weapon
(as is true for all weapons).
You can use the additional strike from the weapon with or without
striking with the weapon [LSJ 970821].

It is like Awe: both can only be used once, and the 'X' is paid when
the card is played.

Pay 1 blood to play the card, burn X=1 blood for one additional strike.

No. 'X' is set only once.
