My group told me about this one last night. I don't know which one of
their devious minds came up with it, but it wasn't me!
You need the following 3 cards
Journal of Hrorsh
Type: Equipment
Requires: Salubri
Unique equipment.
When this Salubri performs a successful action, put a counter on this
card. Burn these counters if this card is moved. You may remove this
ready Salubri from the game to move these counters to your pool (not
usable during an action). Burn option.
Ex Nihilo
Type: Action
Requires: Necromancy
Cost: 1 blood
+1 stealth action.
[nec] Put this card on this vampire. This vampire gets +1 stealth.
Damage he or she inflicts in combat is reduced to 0, and he or she is
immune to non-aggravated damage. This vampire cannot gain blood; any
blood he or she gains goes to the blood bank instead. During your
master phase, this vampire burns 1 blood or is burned. You may burn
this card during your untap phase.
[NEC] As above, but you may burn this card during any Methuselah's
untap phase.
Temptation
Type: Action
Requires: Serpentis
Cost: 1 blood
[ser] (D) Put this card on a ready vampire; you still control this
card. During your master phase, you may put a counter on this card.
During your minion phase, if the number of counters on this card
equals or exceeds the amount of blood on this vampire, you may burn
the counters to untap this vampire and take control of him or her
until the end of the turn.
[SER] As above, and add a counter when you play this card.
Have one of your Salubri vamps on 0 blood, equiped with the Journal of
Hrorsh, and with the Ex Nihilo and your own Temptation, and also
assume that nobody happens to have enough intercept at that point.
1. So the vamp has to hunt. It taps, gains no blood due to the Ex
Nihilo, and puts a counter on the Journal of Hrorsh. With the
Temptions, burn all the (0) counters on it, and the vampire untaps.
2. Goto 1.
Keep going until you've run out of things to represent counters on the
Journal of Hrorsh or your group has dragged you kicking and screaming
into the street and thrown you under a bus.
If the latter didn't happen, burn the counters and gain lots of pool.
So, any flaws in this plan ... apart from the bus?

Yes.

Because Temptation is "During X, do Y", you can only untap via
Temptation once (per Temptation) per minion phase. So you can hunt,
untap, hunt again... and then you're done.

You need more than 3.
Temptation only allows you one untap per turn.

i.e. During X, do Y.
Built in limit of once.

This gets you 2 counters, yes.

Not so much really, no.

Nope.

Card text. Rules.
Those pesky things.

Temptation has "During X, do Y": it can only be used once during your
minion phase.

Thanks, that's a relief. It might have been messy otherwise ;-)

If this worked the way your group wanted, it would have been easier
with Rabbat.
The blood gained from hunting goes directly to your pool without need
of Necromancy, Equipment, etc.
Fortunately, it never worked that way.

I also thought you had to have at least one counter to burn on
temptation to untap the vampire. Even if they are at 0 blood.
