Hi, The Lasombra card: Political Struggle is a very nice card but once the opposing vampire goes to torpor/is burned: does that vampire lose the votes which the Lasombra gains or does the Lasombra gain them and the opposing vampire retain them? The card as it stands advocates - though not explicitly - the latter. You would think though by the nature of the card that the former would apply. Any thoughts? Peter

I assume that they are permanently gained votes, but I just want to make sure. (I've got a nasty idea for a Lasombra political deck w/ this card :) ) Dan Keller -- "You know, I used to think it was awful that life was so unfair. The latter is currently the case (since no errata has been issued). Note that if the target vampire is burned, the question is moot. And, if he's sent to torpor, the question is moot until he gets out (since vampires in torpor don't get their votes). >Another question concerning this card: >Are the votes gained permanent, or good for just one vote? >I assume that they are permanently gained votes, but I just want to make >sure. They are permanent (Just like the votes from Legendary Vampire are "permanent" - except thet Legendary Vampire can be burned). -- L. Another point - in the case that no errata is to be issued - you could repeatedly send the target to torpor, rescue him, play another Poli Struggle, and send him back to torpor - building up an arbitrary number of votes off of a single vampire. Definately an odd effect, but not enough to warrant errata on its own merits. Errata will still only be issued based on the Rules Team's idea of how the card was intended to function.
