Hi... In my gaming group we're having some soubts about some cards and some rules. Anyone to make things a bit more cleran to us ? ;) 1st: Can damage from combat cards that steal blood be prevented (by fortitude cards) or dodged in any way ? 2nd: Blood to Water, asks for the opposing vampire to BURN blood before strikes are delivered. Can the vampire prevent burning that blood with fortitude cards ? 3rd: Does a Vampire has to take an action to burn " Blood Tears of ???" (a new AH card that either gives 2 blood to the vampire, or prevents 2 points of damage) ? 4th: (this one is a really stupid one, but here it goes...) After a vampire tries to block an action without beeing successful, can other vampires try to block the action at the point where it was left (with the stealth the action has) ? 5th: Imagine a vampire atempts that take an action that requires him to pay blood (like Sensory Deprivation). A vampire atempts to block the action. The acting vampire plays a +1 stealth card that makes him pay one more blood, but the blocking vampire plays an intercept card and the action is blocked. Question is: Does the acting vampire pays 4 points of blood (3 from Sensory Dep., and 1 from the stealth card) or 1 point only (from the stealth he put in the action) or no blood at all ? We've been using the 2nd choice, but we're not sure if that's the correct one (morons we are...). I guess that's it for now... Thanx in advance for your help... Pedro

No. There's no such thing as "damage" from a steal blood strike. Steal blood doesn't cause damage - it moves blood (or life) from a minion to the vampire. In the same way that Steal Equipment would not be considered damage. >2nd: Blood to Water, asks for the opposing vampire to BURN blood before >strikes are delivered. Can the vampire prevent burning that blood with >fortitude cards ? No, again it is not damage. If the vampire has insufficient blood, the excess "burn" is ignored (whereas, if the burn were damage, the vampire would be sent to torpor for failing to burn enough blood to heal all of the damage). >3rd: Does a Vampire has to take an action to burn " Blood Tears of ???" We've been using the >2nd choice, but we're not sure if that's the correct one (morons we are...). 2nd choice is correct. Only the cost for the action is recovered (actually, it isn't paid at all until the action is successful). Costs for action modifiers/reaction cards are paid for as the cards are played, and will not be regained if the action is blocked (or not). -- L.
