Hello LSJ, a quick message as it's the morning of a tourney. We're likely to come across a question today which I don't believe you've ever answered on the net... Please could you clarify the term 'successfully inflicted' as used on the masochism card. e.g. If I have no blood and was sent to torpor by an assault rifle, how many tokens do I gain if I have masochism and superior fortitude? e.g. If I'm sent to torpor by 1 agg, then what? Also: What is to 'Perform an action' on seeds of corruption? Also: Can I taste zero damage? Thanks heaps. Dog. p.s. Good rulings recently, at least we Aucklanders seem to think so :o) Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.

Damage received ('inflicted') and not prevented ('successfully'). > e.g. If I have no blood and was sent to torpor by an assault rifle, how > many tokens do I gain if I have masochism and superior fortitude? If you have Masochism *at* superior fortitude (it doesn't matter what level your fortitude is at after you play it) and don't prevent any of the damage from the Assault Rifle, then Masochism gets five counters: four for the damage and an extra one at the end of the round (since it was put into play at superior). > e.g. If I'm sent to torpor by 1 agg, then what? It gets one counter for the damage, and another one for the end of the round (superior). > Also: What is to 'Perform an action' on seeds of corruption? Take / Begin / Announce / Attempt an action. Seeds of Corruption [AH] - Action (tha) (2) * The vampire burns blood for Seeds of Corruption when the action is attempted. Taste of Vitae can be played after strike resolution, even if the opposing vampire lost no blood to damage. You will gain zero blood in this case. It cannot be played when the opposing minion is an ally, however. -- LSJ (vte...@wizards.com) V:TES Net.Rep for Wizards of the Coast.
