This came up during the Portsmouth tournament. A minion uses a Bomb as his strike, having previously faked out to long. Who takes the damage? Is it [a] the minion who strikes with the bomb, [b] both minions, or [c] neither minion? -----------== Posted via Deja News, The Discussion Network ==---------- http://www.dejanews.com/ Search, Read, Discuss, or Start Your Own

The strike does "5R" damage, so the minion being struck takes 5 damage, even at long range (that's what the "R" means). And (card text) "minion [with this weapon] takes 5 damage". So the minion takes five damage. (Or, if you didn't have access to the V:TES version, "the bearer suffers 5 damage" - same effect.) -- L. The minion doing the strike takes 5 damage is clear enough ... but it doesn't say s/he takes 5 RANGED damage. So Rob Treasure was claiming that by moving to long he avoided taking the damage. Anyway, John Eagles ruled the way you did, and thanks for the clarification! [ quoted text not captured ]
