I quote from WW Online about the Black Hand set:
"The booster packs were to be all-new. Due to a printing error,
however, the booster packs contain two reprints of previous cards; two
advanced vampires were accidentally replaced with their base
counterparts on the uncommon sheet. One of the advanced vampires is
still to be found in a starter. The other is not found at all in this
set, but will be printed in the upcoming Gehenna set instead. "
My question to LSJ or someone else at WW who wants to answer:
How is these kind of mistakes possible? Don´t you do some kind of
try-runs in printing to check that everything is OK?
This thing, that the whole run of a set is misprinted, is realy common
in collectible card games, not only in VtES, and I don´t have a clue
why. In any other business that deals with print these kind of
mistakes are usualy avoided.
Thanks in advance for any reply. And I love you guys anyway.

Some fictional scenario :
My question to Bill Gates or someone else at Microsoft who wants to answer:
How are these kinds of software bugs possible ? Don´t you do some kind of
pre-testing
before you sell the software to check that everything is OK?
;-) you see the point ? humans involved - errors involved ... that´s a law.

Yes. The error was missed in proofing the printer's proofs.

They're "usually" avoided here as well. That is, the majority of mistakes
are caught (avoided). :-)

silly. Not the same business. Not the same process. Print, edition, that are
domains that are well known and mastered.
When you give you asset for launching the print of something, you usually
sign a kind of colour photography (don't know the exact term in english. In
french, it's a cromalin) that is exactly what you'll get at the end of the
process.
If it has not made this way, it is stupid, and as I don't think that WW
people who have made their business from edition are stupid, the reason why
there is a flaw in the edition is that the try-run given by the printer is
false. In this case, he is responsible.
And he has to pay !

I just think it's sad, that just about every print run, some sort of erroneous
mistake has happened. Apparently White Wolf's print company just can't get
anything right!
Remember when Eye of Hazimel, Xaviar, and Wind Dance accidentally got mixed up
into CE? Or when Advanced Lambach and Legion got mixed up into Anarchs? Or the
weird smelling ink for some of the CE print runs? And the flimsy stock and
wearing edges of SW?
::sigh:: What I wouldn't give for Carta Mundi and some good quality cardboard
stock...

Hey, if they catch a mistake, you won't see it.
Their track record is surprisingly good, considering the mistakes they
*have* caught before printing, like:
- Normal having +2 bleed
- Thoughts Betrayed having no blood cost
- "for the duration/remainder of combat" missing from Aura Reading and Raptor
- pool cost missing from Zillah's Valley
- "Lucky Blow" having X-rated art not related to fighting
- Eyes of the Dead only playable by allies
- "Dominate Kine" printed as "Dominate Caine"
- "burn Leather Jacket to" missing from Leather Jacket
- Husamettin having the picture of Saddam Hussein as art
- "and burn the opposing vampire" mistakenly added to the text of Majesty
- Political Ally accidentally having the text and stats of Renegade Garou
- The Slaughterhouse burning cards from your prey's controlled region
- etc, etc.
So we should really cut them some slack. ;-)

Let's not forget that Anarch cardstock doesn't recover from water
damage. Alas poor Ramona..

As a Ventrue player, I'm not seeing the problem here...

Well, ya know, accidents will happen.
More importantly, however, is which two vampires were affected? Who is
starter only and who has been removed from play completely?

CE has the same problem. Did WW ever explain why they changed from the
good stuff?
> You guys need to hire real copy editors!!! :)
and you guys need to stop nitpicking everything?
so what if someone screws something small up, does it ruin the fun of
the game for us?
no, it just means that we need to know a few bits of trivia
but then again, by knowing how to play the game, you know what all the
cards you use do, correct?
and besides, they said that we'd get the cards in a later set, anyway
but if there is no infernal pact, then that is a major printing error
that CANNOT BE FORGIVEN!!!

how could that be a misprint? if a minion blows you, you should be
lucky. there could actually be a more usefull card at that slot :)
