Reflex Rules Question Predators Transformation

Hello LSJ, Reflex Cards cancel another card as it is played, are any associated blood costs retrieved? I think not since all other cards that cancel a card specifically say no cost is paid. Is the text "no cost is paid" intended to be reminder text? Thanks, David
