My Masika goes for bleed. He's blocked, so he plays a Majesty (sup.) and untaps. Then he plays a Portrait: will he be able to bleed again as a result of the Portrait action? Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.

No. If he cannot bleed his prey (for whatever reason: NRA, Minor Boon, etc.), and the subject of the Portrait has a capacity between 7 and 10 inclusive, then he merely untaps (card text) - he can't bleed. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. Further to this question, with The Portrait, are the effect cumulative - eg, if the Vampire is a Nosferatu under 7, does the Burn 2 blood and gain 2 blood apply? or if it is Harrod, does the acting vampire burn 3 blood? DH [ quoted text not captured ]

Yes. All the effects are applied as appropriate. First: pay 1 blood for the cost of the action. Then: If Nosferatu: burn 2 blood. Then: Gain 2, untap and bleed, or burn 1 blood based on the capacity. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) VTES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc.
