1: If a vampire is brought down to 0 blood, can you still burn him with only 1 ag. or is 2 ag needed. 2: If a vampire is going to torpor does combat end then and there? Of if the attacking vampire has more strikes available can he still take off more blood to try and eventually burn the dying vamp. To put him out of his of her misory, of course. ;) Thanx Umbradomo, KMM "Why just put a vampire in torpor, and worry about it again. When you can put it out of it's misory, and fell much better. ;) :)

Torpor is immediate. -- There be that can pack the cards and yet cannot play | a-Henh! well; so there are some that are good in canvasses and | Brian Wilson factions, that are otherwise weak men. | Francis Bacon |

No, you would need two aggravated damage. The first sends the vampire to torpor, and the second burns it since it's out of blood. >> 2: If a vampire is going to torpor does combat end then and there? Sounds right (about UP being the only exception, I mean). Tom Wylie rec.games.deckmaster Network Representative for aahz@hal.com Wizards of the Coast, Inc.

Does UP supply a press each round (like trap) until three rounds pass with no methuselahs playing cards, or do you have to come up with the presses yourself (effectively invalidating the text on the UP card that states that UP will continue until three rounds pass with no methuselahs playing cards)? Aggravated damage is counted last, so the first (normal) point would be enough to send a zero-blood vampire into torpor, and the second (aggravated) point would destroy it. Mind you, I don't know what kind of strike would do 2 points with only one of those points being aggravated, but I have not yet seen it all. Neil Clennan nclennan@umich.edu

The vampire will not go into torpor until combat ends, or three rounds pass without cards having been played. The Persistence itself only provides one optional press, so you would have to come up with other presses elsewhere (from Trap, for example...)
