just a couple questions...

I have a couple questions: 1. When using cards like Talbot's Chainsaw or Archon etc. that allow you to take a directed action against any vampire, does that vampire that you are attacking have to be untapped? Or can you just enter into combat with it whether it is tapped or untapped and combat ensues? I know some cards specify that the vampire you take the directed action against must be "ready", meaning untapped. But some cards do not say "ready", they just say "any vampire". 2. Also are allies considered minions? This question came up because a player in my game had the muddled vampire hunter which I wasn't quite prepared for with its 4-damage-first-strike ability. I was wondering if cards that allow you to attack "any minion" would include allies as well as vampires. I know some cards say "any vampire" which I presume rules out allies. Thanks for any help... -rhee

Ready never means not tapped (with the recent exception of Brujah Frenzy). Ready (in all other cases) just means "controlled and not in torpor". Tapped or no, you may enter combat with them - and if they were untapped, they remain so. >2. Also are allies considered minions? Yes, Allies are minions - free to take actions, and to be the target of 'any minion' actions. -- L.
